The following  two events have announced for NYC AgTechWeek 2017, an upcoming event hosted by the NYC Agriculture Collective. NYC AgTechWeek 2017 takes place from Sept. 16 to Sept. 21.

Monday, Sept. 18 - Aquaponics, Mushrooms, and Insects (AMI) with the AVF 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
When people hear the term vertical farming, often times they assume the production of lettuce and other leafy greens. Learn about other options for aquaponics besides lettuce at this event put on by the Association of Vertical Farming.

Wednesday, Sept. 19 - Grow at Home Technology Panel and Showcase 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Take a look at the incredible, quirky, unique and innovative Agtech products that are trying to let people grow more food in their homes. Since 2016, there has been a surge in consumer demand for these products, with over $4 million raised in crowdfunding alone. This is just the beginning, as some predictions are seeing a market size of $10s of billions, but when will people and the products be ready for it?
