What is it that makes a tomato so appealing to consumers? Maybe it’s the cancer-fighting Lycopene, the delicious taste, the curiosity of its thousands of varieties or tomatoes’ compatibility with other foods. Perhaps it’s a combination of some or all of these reasons that makes this popular veggie an international favorite. To celebrate our first State of the Tomato Report, we’ve gathered a few fun figures that make the tomato one of ours.
