Advancing Cultivation Technology, a collaboration among horticultural technology companies Svensson, Priva, Grodan and Philips LED Lighting, is launching a new two-part webinar series to support greenhouse growers in mid- and high-tech facilities.
The sessions aim to provide practical, actionable insights that help growers better understand and implement advanced technologies within their existing operations, making innovation more tangible and accessible, regardless of their current level of automation.
The series, titled “Power Your Production: Real-World Tech for Better Crops & Better Margins,” offers crop-specific guidance for U.S. growers looking to improve climate control, lighting, irrigation and overall efficiency. Each session is tailored to a specific crop group, starting with flowers and ornamentals, followed by leafy greens later in the year.
The first session, “Modernizing Flower Production: Smarter Light, Climate & Irrigation,” will focus on practical strategies for ornamental and flower growers aiming to improve crop consistency, reduce resource use and meet rising quality expectations. Experts from Advancing Cultivation Technology will share real-world examples and technologies to support smarter growing, including:
- Flexible light management and dynamic shading strategies
- Indoor LED lighting for propagation and crop development
- Integrated climate and irrigation control systems
- Substrate and fertigation optimization for improved root health
Growers of bedding plants, orchids, roses, perennials and other ornamentals are encouraged to attend and learn how to modernize their greenhouses without the need for a full rebuild.
The second session will focus on leafy greens production, covering strategies to address tip burn, uneven growth and resource efficiency through advanced technology.
The first webinar will be held June 19 from 1 to 2 p.m. The second will be held Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.
