BrightFarms has launched an Indie GoGo campaign to support their Washington, D.C.-based greenhouse project.
The greenhouses will top out at 120,000 square feet. Earlier this year BrightFarms entered into an agreement with the grocer Giant Food who will be the exclusive retailer in the nation’s capital region of BrightFarms’ year round local produce.
The campaign has currently raised about $9,000 towards a goal of $50,000. The campaign started on July 18 and will close September 16.
