Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station hosting Plant Science Day

The event will be held August 5 in Hamden, Conn.

Plant Science Day 2015 will be held on August 5, 2015, at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station’s research farm, Lockwood Farm, in Hamden, Conn. This is an annual event that features a day of plant science open to the public (9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.). Pesticide credits for will again be offered, with an opportunity to earn 4.5 credit hours for all CT supervisory categories and private applicators. Plant Science Day affords many opportunities for attendees to interact and discuss pest management strategies, pesticides, invasive plants, plant diseases, insects, and many other topics of plant science on an informal basis with individual scientists at their research plots.  This event is free to all.

No pre-registration is required for attendance. However, individuals interested in obtaining pesticide credits must sign in at a designated location at the start of the day, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and sign out to pick up pesticide credit forms after they have completed the pesticide tour and demos at 3:30 p.m.
