The 2025 Consumer Food Safety Education Conference, hosted by the Partnership for Food Safety Education, is scheduled for March 13-14, 2025, in Houston, Texas. The conference will feature sessions on the latest food safety research, innovative programming, impactful communications strategies and hands-on activities.
CFSEC brings together experts and professionals from across the food industry to share knowledge, address challenges and advance consumer education efforts for safer food handling practices. This conference creates an opportunity to network with about 300 public health, nutrition and food safety professionals and educators, exchanging best practices and building connections.
The conference program is now available. Attendees will hear from industry leaders who are making an impact on food safety practices and policies, including Charles Leftwich, vice president of food safety and quality assurance at Sysco Corporation, Tony Flood, director of food safety communications at the International Food Information Council, and Steven Mandernach, executive director of the Association of Food and Drug Officials.
The conference will also feature:
- Special keynotes from food industry experts, consumer advocates and public health specialists, sharing insights and successful initiatives in food safety.
- Panel discussions on emerging foodborne pathogens, cross-industry collaboration and risk communication strategies.
- Interactive workshops offering hands-on experience with digital food safety tools and safety communication frameworks.
