Brazilian authorities have approved the use of ELATUS, a Syngenta fungicide, for use. Syngenta's press release on the announcement says that ELATUS offers performance against soybean rust, a devastating disease that can significantly impact yields.
ELATUS was already available in Paraguay and Bolivia and will be made available in Brazil in September of this year. ELATUS is the combination of SDHI chemistry SOLATENOL and AMISTAR.
Syngenta Chief Operating Officer John Atkin says: “ELATUS is a powerful addition to our leading soybean portfolio and will be an important part of our integrated offers. Latin American soybean growers now have a new tool to control rust and manage resistance. This will enable them to increase production in response to growing global demand while optimizing their use of natural resources.”
