
Fresh Express is releasing a new Chopped Kit flavor this fall.
Mediterranean Herb hits shelves nationwide Sept. 24, 2025. It includes kale, green cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, green leaf lettuce, chickpeas, feta and a lemon and oregano vinaigrette.

According to the company, Mediterranean is one of the fastest-growing flavor profiles in the country, ranking as the No. 7 flavor nationally and growing 30% year-over-year.
Chopped Kits are now the largest segment in the value added salad category, growing from 5% in 2014 to over 23% today, and the segment grew 10.6% year-over-year, proving resilient even during inflationary periods, according to Fresh Express.
Fresh Express commands 22.4% of its sales from Chopped Kits, with Chopped Caesar ranking as the #12 item in the entire VAS category at $64 million in annual sales, according to the company.
Fresh Express said the new Mediterranean kit has already tested high with consumers, earning an 80% purchase intent score in concept testing.
