Jiffy has announced the appointment of Kyle Freedman as the company’s new segment manager for Indoor Agriculture and Controlled Environment Agriculture. The role is effective as of Oct. 1.
Freedman, Jiffy says, will play an “instrumental role in the strategic development for this segment, aiming to position Jiffy as the premier partner for any Indoor Ag/CEA initiative.”
Arjan van Leest, to whom Kyle will be directly reporting, commented, "Kyle's appointment comes at a significant time for Jiffy as we look to expand and solidify our presence in the Indoor Ag/CEA market,” said Arjan van Leest, Freedman’s direct report and Jiffy’s project manager for hydroponics. “His vast experience and dedication to the field make him an invaluable addition to our team. We are ecstatic to welcome him aboard."
Freedman has a master’s degree in international Agricultural Development from UC Davis and is currently a PhD-level research assistant at North Carolina State University. His dissertation at NC State is title "Conditioning Grapevines for Increased Fruiting Capacity Using Supplemental Light and CEA."
