From the USA Today:

Another retirement from the Obama administration, this time White House chef Sam Kass.

As Kass makes a move to New York City, the president and first lady Michelle Obama praised him Monday for contributions to the administration's health and nutrition programs for children.

"From constructing our Kitchen Garden to brewing our own Honey Brown Ale, Sam has left an indelible mark on the White House," said President Obama in a statement. "And with the work he has done to inspire families and children across this country to lead healthier lives, Sam has made a real difference for our next generation."

In addition to being personal chef to the first family, Kass carried the titles of executive director of the first lady's Let's Move! initiative, and the first-ever White House senior policy adviser on nutrition.
