SALINAS, Calif. –– Mann Packing Company recently hired two experienced produce industry professionals in sales and marketing roles to help manage the company’s continued growth.
Lori Bigras joins the company as a marketing manager. A native New Englander and long-time California resident, Bigras has 20 years experience in marketing communications and project management, with the majority of her career at berry grower/shipper Driscoll’s and McDill Associates, a full service marketing and package design company specializing in serving the produce industry.
“Lori’s background working with industry-leading companies and experience serving on several boards gives her a unique set of skills and experience in everything from destination and brand marketing, to hard goods and fresh produce that complements our marketing team,” said Kim St George, director of marketing and innovation.
Bigras studied marketing and design at Vermont College and the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Larry Narwold joins the company as Southeast regional sales manager, foodservice. Over his career, Narwold has gained experience in all facets of the produce industry, working on the supplier side as well as the customer side at companies such as River Ranch Fresh Foods, Green Giant Fresh/Sholl Group, Tanimura and Antle, Inc., Fleming Companies and SUPERVALU.
In his role at Mann Packing he will report to Rick Russo and provide sales support to the company’s foodservice customers in the Southeast.
Russo said, “We’re thrilled to bring someone onboard with Larry’s experience and industry relationships. He’s well respected, knowledgeable and involved with industry leadership.”
Narwold has served on several produce industry organization boards including the Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Board and the United Fresh Membership Committee; he is a past president of the Southeast Produce Council.
