Nominations for the NSF Food Safety Leadership Award are now being accepted. To nominate someone visit the NSF website. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 14.
The awards recognize organizations and individuals that have made a real and lasting impact on food safety. Winners will be recognized at the Food Safety Summit in Baltimore, Md. on April 10, 2014.
The award program began in 2004. Previous winners have included: Earthbound Farms, Publix Hormel Foodservice, Coca-Cola, and Dole Fresh Vegetables. Nominations can come from any sector of the food industry, including retail, regulatory, produce, processing, academic, and agricultural.
