Oasis Grower Solutions, a division of Smithers-Oasis, has hired horticulture industry veteran Paul Gaydos as territory sales manager for a newly created Southeast U.S. sales territory, effective April 14, 2025.
“I’m very happy to have Paul as part of our team at Oasis Grower Solutions,” said Smithers-Oasis Director of Global Grower Operations & Research Vijay Rapaka, Ph.D. “The creation of this new sales territory will allow us to better serve the Southeast U.S. so more growers can experience the benefits of our innovative, sustainable substrates and ancillary products. I’m confident that Paul’s strong horticulture industry background and experience with the Southeast market will prove to be valuable assets as we continue growing our business in the region.”
With more than two decades in the commercial horticulture industry, Gaydos' experience includes plant production, operations management, product development, product trials, strategic planning and sales and product support for growers, distributors and brokers.
He earned his B.S. in horticulture at West Virginia University and his M.B.A. at Everest University in Florida.
In his new role, Gaydos will be responsible for Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina and will report directly to Rapaka.
With the creation of the new sales territory, Rapaka also noted some minor reorganization of existing sales territories for the Oasis Grower Solutions team.
Brenton Williams will now cover the Midwest, with the addition of Ohio and Kentucky. Sharon Warschauer will cover the East Coast, Northeast and Canadian territory. Sergio Sarmiento will continue to cover the West Coast.
