Pace Plant Health, a division of Pace 49 Inc./Pace Solutions Corp., has hired Paul Pilon as national sales manager.
In his new role, Pilon will work with the U.S. and Canadian sales team to support and expand the Pace customer base, provide technical expertise and oversee sales activities in the U.S., Mexico, Guatemala and Canada. He will also be responsible for expanding sales to include new markets and new product uses throughout North America.
“We are very excited to have Paul join our team,” said Judy McWhorter, vice president of Pace 49/Pace Solutions Plant Health. “He is already very familiar with our product line thanks to research he has conducted for us in the past. With Paul’s help, we look forward to providing our customers with enhanced standard operating procedures, supported by research and Paul’s experience in production to improve plant quality, decrease production losses and simplify cultural practices.”
Pace 49 Inc., which provides growers with disease control and prevention solutions, was founded in 2004 as an extension of Pace Solutions, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In 2025, the Pace Plant Health Division was formed, uniting Pace 49 and Pace Solutions’ Plant Health business under one umbrella.
Pilon comes to Pace with more than 30 years of professional horticulture experience. Throughout his career, he's focused on researching and improving various aspects of production to improve crop quality, decrease production losses and simplify cultural practices.
He holds a degree in horticulture from Michigan State University. He has authored more than 400 articles and continues to write for numerous trade publications, including Ball Publishing's Perennial Pulse e-newsletter, of which he serves as editor-at-large. He also authored the book "Perennial Solutions: A Grower's Guide to Perennial Production."
