Patrick Delaney, the former communications director for the United Fresh Produce Association, has been named the Democratic communications director for the House Agriculture Committee. Delaney will serve the House's minority party.
Delaney was nominated by Rep. Collin Peterson, a ranking member on the committee and a Democrat representing Minnesota 's seventh district.
“Patrick brings a broad range of food and agriculture policy communications experience to the committee, having experience working within the row crop, specialty crop and food industries,” Peterson said in a press release. “He will play a vital role in the committee’s work on a new farm bill and I welcome him aboard.”
Delaney worked for United Fresh from 2008 until 2011. He also spent seven years as the American Soybean Association's policy communications director.
