Research from William Patterson University has produced a ranking system for the healthiest "powerhouse" fruits and vegetables.
Atop the list is Watercress, which contains a myriad of nutrients and vitamins for consumers. The rest of the top five, in order are: Chinese cabbage, chard, beet green and spinach. Researchers looked at 47 fruits and vegetables. They then looked at 17 key nutrients and how much each fruit and veggie contained. All but six of the examined food items made the final cut.
The list was dominated by vegetables with only a handful of fruits performing well.
