According to a press release, Square Roots produce will now be sold at Meijer stores in four Midwestern states: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. The produce will be grown and harvested at the recently-opened Square Roots farm in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
“Our new farm in Kenosha delivers delicious, pesticide-free, fresh produce to Meijer and other local retailers in the Midwest, all year round, and often within hours of being harvested,” said Chad Hague, VP of Sales at Square Roots. “We’re thrilled that Meijer shoppers will get to enjoy our locally harvested greens that stay fresh for weeks.”
Square Roots’ product line includes leafy greens, herbs (including basil, dill and cilantro) and microgreens. Square Roots says that its produce has an extended 14-day shelf life in addition to be grown pesticide free and being 100% traceable.
