Canadian greenhouse grower Windset Farms earned non-GMO certification Jan. 22. The certification was issued by the Non-GMO Project.
The Non-GMO Project began in 2010 when the organization began verifying products. The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization.
“We are so excited to participate in this verification program,” says John Newell, Windset Farms COO in a press release. “This clarifies, to the industry and consumers, that we exclusively use naturally-bred seed varieties.”
