Western Illinois University is building a pair of greenhouses to supplement their existing agriculture program.
The McDonough County Voice is reporting that the project will cost about $490,000 and will be situated near the university's livestock center. The facility will also benefit multiple classes throughout the School of Ag such as conservation classes, soil classes and horticulture.
Ultimately, the facility will consist of six total greenhouses as well as a head house that will include a classroom, chemical room, restrooms and storage.
